Assignment: Abnormal Oral Report Assignment
Each student will research and present to the class any Abnormal Disorder they find of interest. Students need to look at the DSM-IV classifications and select a disorder. Presentations should include a visual aid in the form of a PowerPoint presentation, a video, and/or a poster. Handouts are encouraged.
Each student's presentation must be at least 20-30 minutes in length. If two students want to do a presentation together that's fine but the presentation should cover about an hour.
Presentations need to include the following:
1. Definition of the Disorder
2. DSM-IV classification/criteria
3. Causes
4. Modes of treatment
5. Examples/case studies
6. A summary of the disorder as a handout
Resources: You should have at least three sources and cite them at the end of the presentation!!!
